Campbeltown Airport - Campbeltown Airport is the gateway airport to the Isle of Arran. Historically it provided NATO facilities due to its location and long runway. Campbeltown town is 3 miles to the east of the airport. The airport is on the Machrihanish road, off the A83. There is a small terminal building. A Shop and café are based in the small terminal building. There are ramps for wheelchairs users. To get there, take the A83 from Campbeltown centre and turn off towards Machrihanish. Taxis are available in the terminal building. A bus services operates to and from Airport. The Southend and the Carradale championship golf courses are nearby at Machrihanish Golf Club. Other nearby attractions are the springbank distillery, the heritage centre and Davaar Island containing the cave painting of the crucifixion of Christ. The airport is in Argyll and Bute, Machrihanish, Campbeltown , PA28 6NU.

 

Coventry West Midlands International Airport - five million people live within an hour's drive of Coventry airport, and 15 million within 1hr 20 mins. Coventry Airport the airport has recently begun the first of the winter routes airline Thomsonfly.com, the first leisure airline to operate from Coventry airport - a daily flight to Amsterdam. Coventry airport is situated just of the Toll Bar Roundabout of the A45 Roundabout south Coventry. There are two entrances to the airport, most of the commercial flights require you to go the passenger terminal which is located at Coventry Airport South on Siskin Parkway West, Middlemarch Industrial Estate, you can follow the signs for 'Coventry Airport Passenger Terminal’. If you are dropping of a passenger you can either drop them off outside the terminal, or use the pay and display spaces available close to the terminal for up to 1 hour. Please note that for security reasons no cars can be left unattended. To get there by road from the North West take the M6 southbound and exit at J2 for A46 Coventry and Leamington then on toToll Bar roundabout at the junction with the A45. Coventry train station is 3 miles from the airport and i accessed by an hourly bus service. Coventry airport has it own taxi service. The main bus service from Coventry Airport stops at London Road, Quinton Parade, Coventry Railway Station, Coventry City Centre and Pool Meadow Coach Station. It is located at Coventry Airport South, Coventry, Warwickshire, CV3 4PB

 

Derry International Airport - serves northwest Ireland and offers regular flights to cities in Ireland and across the UK. The airport is located seven miles northeast of Londonderry and is well signposted from the A2. Both car parks are located adjacent to the terminal building.The airport information desk holds a central position in the airport's single terminal building and handles all enquires as well as currency exchange. There is also an ATM and a children's play area. A shop in the main concourse offers a full range of products and convenience items, along with an airport restaurant and bar offering snacks, hot meals and refreshments. There is a café in the departures area. Facilities assisting disabled passengers include low-level kerbs and ramps, dedicated parking, specially designed toilets, use of airport wheelchairs, and an induction loop. A business lounge is located on the first floor and offers complimentary refreshments, TV and video, and photocopy and fax facilities upon request. The airport conference room is also located on the first floor

 

Dundee City Airport - is a commuter "STOL" (Short Take-Off and Landing) airport on the banks of the River Tay. Currently daily flights are available to London with Scot Airways. Airlines at Dundee Airport Scot Airways Dundee Airport serves a large area of central and eastern Scotland and offers regular flights across Scotland and the UK, including five daily return flights to London City Airport operated by Scot Airways. The airport lies just off the A85 between Dundee city centre and the Firth of Tay. The A85 connects with the A90 to Perth and the A92 south to Glenrothes. There is a small shop selling convenience items while a café provides snacks and refreshments. Dundee Airport is only two miles from the centre of Dundee, just off the A85. From Perth take the A90 until you reach the A85. Dundee train station is a five minute taxi drive from the airport. Taxis are available outside the terminal building. It is a ten-minute journey to mainline bus and train stations, with Dundee city centre only two miles from the airport. The airport i located on Riverside Drive, Dundee, Angus , DD2 1UH.

 

Glenegedale (or Islay) Airport - is the gateway to Islay Island off the southwest coast of Scotland, and offers a scheduled twice-daily flight to Glasgow as well as regular charter flights transporting golfers from the UK and US during the summer. The airport lies on the A846, which links with Port Ellen to the south and Bowmore to the north. A bus service runs to all towns on the island and is scheduled to meet all flights. Both short- and long-term parking is available.The single terminal building is open from 9:30am until 6.45pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am until just 10.30am on Saturdays. It is usually closed on Sundays but can be opened upon arrangement. The airport café and store sells a wide range of snacks, meals and refreshments, as well as gifts, reading material, and local malt whiskey. Facilities for disabled passengers include specially designed toilets, ramps, and wide access points. Further information can be obtained at the airport information desk within the terminal building.

 

Inverness Airport - is the main gateway to the Scottish highlands and islands and offers direct flights all across the UK and Scotland as well as charter flights to selected European destinations. It is located 14km (9 miles) east of Inverness. There are shops at the airport, including a bookshop. Luggage: There are no left luggage facilities; trolleys are available. Other facilities: There is a photo booth. First aid treatment is available from the information desk. The airport information desk is located centrally in the main terminal and provides photocopy and fax facilities for business travellers. Photocopy and fax facilities are available from the information desk. The airport can also provide conference facilities, from business meetings to large events; catering and equipment are available. To get there from the centre of Inverness, take the A96 towards Aberdeen and follow signs for the airport. From the east, take the A96 towards Inverness to Gollanfield and follow signs for the airport. From the north and south, take the A9 towards Inverness and follow signs for the airport. Inverness airport is situated to the north-east of the city centre. From Inverness take the A96 towards Nairn. Turn off just before Newton onto the B9039 and follow signs to the airport. 15 minutes to the city centre by road (A96).

 

Isle of Man Airport - the busy Isle of Man Airport handles over a million passengers annually flying to and from destinations throughout the UK and Europe as well as several trans-Atlantic flights. No point on the island is more than an hour's drive away, with the airport well signposted on all main roads. The main car park is found opposite the terminal building. The airport cafeteria is located on the first floor and offers meals, snacks, refreshments and a bar service. There is a small café and bar in the departure lounge. Opposite the cafeteria is a comprehensive shop stocking newspapers, books, and gifts. The Airport signposted all over the Island. No point on the Island is more than 1 hours' drive away. There is no rail service available. Bus or taxi recommended. Bus route 1 runs to Douglas, Castletown, Port Erin and the airport.

 

Jersey Airport - is situated around 5 miles west of the island's capital, St Helier. Featuring one of the most dramatic take-offs in the UK, the end of the runway is a few hundred metres away from the cliffs which overlook St Ouen's Beach, one of the most popular on the island. A food court is located on the ground floor offering self-service meals and refreshments, while an a la carte restaurant and bar is situated on the first floor. The airport is located to the west of the island. Despite the small size of the island traffic is a problem so allow plenty of time if driving. Car hire is available from the airport. The number 15 Jersey Bus Service runs from St Helier to the airport every 20 or 30 minutes throughout the year.

 

Kirkwall Airport - acts as a base for Loganair's inter-island air service while also offering schedules services to various destinations on the Scottish mainland. The airport's Westray to Papa Westray service, with a flying time of less than two minutes, is the shortest scheduled air service in the world. There is a café in the terminal building serving meals and refreshments, as well as a general store that sells snacks, newspapers and a small selection of local gifts and handicrafts. The airport is situated on the A960 road, 3 miles East of Kirkwall town. No bus service currently operating. To reach and go from the Airport the taxi service or car hire is recommended.

 

Newquay Cornwall International Airport - is the gateway to one of England's most popular beach resorts, offering flights across the UK and connecting flights via London Gatwick to European and trans-Atlantic destinations. The airport is well signposted on the A3059, which links up with the A30. A small car park is located adjacent to the terminal building (£4 per day). A café offering hot meals and refreshments is located in the main terminal while a small store sells necessity items such as newspapers and snacks. The airport is situated approx 5 miles northeast of Newquay town centre. Follow signs from the A3059. The best train stations to get to the airport are Truro, St Austell or Par trains stations. From any of these stations you can get a bus or taxi to the airport. National Express run coaches from all over the country to Newquay town centre

 

Sheffield Airport - although no scheduled flights run from the Airport, the Airport thrives as both a general aviation and heliport centre, offering fixed wing and helicopter flight tuition and pilot training, as well as pleasure flights and business charters. The Airport is ideally located for the M1 and M18 motorways, with fast rail links to London from Sheffield and Doncaster. The most convenient station is main Sheffield train station which is about 10 minutes drive away from the airport. The Mainline 400 bus operators run a regular service to Sheffield city centre

 

Sumburgh Airport - is located on the southern tip of the Shetland Islands and provides scheduled flights to the UK mainland as well as acting as a base for numerous oil charter operations. The airport is situated on the A970, with Lerwick situated 25 miles to the north. Both short- and long-stay parking is available. The terminal houses a small café offering snacks and refreshments while there is also a newsagent. A regular bus service connects the airport with Lerwick, the island's capital. Taxis are available outside the terminal building.
